Canesten Combi
Canesten Combi is all you need to clear the symptoms and cause of thrush fast. The canesten
combi contains a pessary to treat the cause of thrush and a tube of cream for
soothing relief of the itching.
What is Canesten Combi?
Canesten Combi is a complete thrush treatment because it contains:
Canesten Combi Pessary and Cream
Combined pack of one 500mg pessary with applicator and 10g cream
Clotrimazole 500mg, Clotrimazole 2% w/w
Treatment for vaginal thrush and relief of the irritation
The cream can also be used for treatment of sexual partner's penis to prevent
re-infection
16-60 years of age: 1 pessary inserted into the vagina at night. The cream to
be applied thinly 2 or 3 times daily to the affected area
Under 16 and over 60 years: not recommended except on medical advice
What does Canesten Combi contain?
The pessary contains 500mg of the active ingredient clotrimazole Ph. Eur. Other
ingredients are lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, lactic acid, maize starch,
povidone, calcium lactate, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide and poly (O-hydroxypropyl-O-methyl)
cellulose.
The 10g tube of cream contains 2% w/w clotrimazole Ph. Eur. Other ingredients
are benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan monostearate, cetyl esters wax, cetyl
stearyl alcohol, 2-octyldodecanol and purified water.
Clotrimazole is an antifungal agent which fights the cause of infections such
as thrush
