How do I take/use this medicine?
Nandrolone is given by deep injection into a muscle such as the buttocks, upper leg or upper arm. It is usually administered by a doctor or a trained nurse.
What should I take note of while using/taking this medicine?
Inform your doctor if you have a history of or suffer from any of these conditions:
- prostate problems
- heart problems
- high blood pressure
- epilepsy (fits or seizures)
- breast cancer which has spread to the bones
- high or low cholesterol
For as long as you are taking Nandrolone, you will need to have regular blood tests to make sure that your blood counts, blood lipids and liver function are normal. Your doctor will advise you about how often you need to have these blood tests.
Do not give this medicine to anyone else, even if they appear to have the same problem as you have.
When should I not use this medicine?
Alert your doctor if you have heart failure, kidney or liver disease; or if you are a man with prostate or breast cancer.
Do not take Nandrolone if you are pregnant. Alert your doctor if you become pregnant while being treated with Nandrolone.
Do not breastfeed while being treated with Nandrolone.
Nandrolone should not be taken to enhance your ability in sports as it poses a health risk.
Are there any restrictions on the type of food I can take?
You should take a diet high in proteins and calories while taking Nandrolone. Ask your doctor or nutritionist about how much more proteins and calories you need.
Why do I need this medicine?
Nandrolone is an anabolic steriod which helps to rebuild body tissue, increase body and bone mass and encourage the formation of red blood cells.
Nandrolone is used to treat the following conditions:
- loss of bone tissue (osteoporosis)
- low red blood cells (anaemia)
- breast cancer in women
- people being treated long-term with corticosteroids
What side effects could I experience?
Common side effects of Nandrolone include pain at the injection site, swelling of the ankles or feet, oily skin, greasy hair, acne, nausea, itch and changes in sexual drive.
Some men may experience enlargement of the penis and breast, difficulty urinating and painful erections. Women may develop hoarseness of the voice, irregular menstrual cycles, enlargement of the clitoris and increased body and facial hair. Alert your doctor quickly if you experience any of these side effects.
How should I store this medicine?
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.
Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
Can I take/use this with other medicines?
Alert your doctor if you are taking any other medicine especially those listed here:
- blood thinners such as warfarin or heparin
- diabetes medicines
Always inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal medicines and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
Do not start any new medicine without informing your doctor.
