Difflam Spray - 30ML

For the Treatment of Painful and Sore Mouth and Throat Conditions.
What is in the spray?
This spray bottle holds 30ml of medicine called Difflam Spray, a clear liquid containing an ingredient called benzydamine hydrochloride. Each
puff from the spray (175 microlitres) contains 262.5 micrograms of benzydamine
hydrochloride. The liquid also contains the following ingredients: ethanol, glycerol,
saccharin, sodium hydrogen carbonate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, mouthwash flavour
52 503/T firmenich, polysorbate 20, purified water.
What is Difflam Spray for?
Benzydamine, the active ingredient in Difflam Spray, acts locally to stop pain and inflammation. Difflam Spray can be sprayed directly into the mouth or throat to relieve pain, soreness and
swelling. It can be used to treat many painful conditions of the mouth or throat,
including mouth ulcers, teething, sore throat, sore tongue or gums and discomfort
associated with dentures or dental work.
Points to check before using Difflam Spray
As with all medicines, tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding
or trying to become pregnant.
Tell your pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines.
Do not use this spray in or near your eyes; if this happens accidentally, wash
your eyes immediately with cold water.
Do not use Difflam Spray if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
How to use Difflam Spray
A puff of Difflam Spray should be sprayed onto the sore area according to the following instructions:
Adults:
Use 4 to 8 puffs every 1½ to 3 hours
Children aged 6 -12 years:
Use 4 puffs every 1½ to 3 hours
Children under 6 years of age (treatment is based on weight):
1 puff for each 4 kilograms of body weight, up to a maximum of 4 puffs at any
one time. This dose should be used every 1½ to 3 hours. If you are not sure how
many puffs to use or when to use them, you should ask your pharmacist for help.
If the condition gets worse, or does not get better, talk to your pharmacist
or doctor.
