New mode dial - The FinePix A800 features a newly designed Mode Dial, which makes the camera ideal for first time digital buyers. Users can quickly select scene modes with their thumbs.
Easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI) - Now FinePix digital cameras are even easier to use! An intuitive icon based graphical user interface confirms shooting modes, scene positions, or control settings with brief explanations on the LCD screen. Easy-to-read icon and text description of the selected mode help you choose and confirm the optimum setting for best results. This takes much of the guesswork out of digital camera operation. With less to worry about, you'll have more fun with your picture taking!
2.5 inch LCD screen - Framing and reviewing photographs is made easy thanks to a large 2.5" LCD monitor, with an anti-reflective coating to prevent glare when shooting in bright daylight.
Fujinon lens technology - The FinePix A800 features a 3x optical zoom with a focal range equivalent of 36mm-108mm compared to 35mm film. Bring your subject closer and clearer with high quality Fujinon lens technology. For added range, add the 6.9x digital zoom.
Internal memory - The FinePix A800 makes it possible for you to get that picture even if your memory card is full. The internal memory built into this compact model ensures that you will never have to miss that special shot. Think of it as your internal insurance policy for photo opportunities.
With that said, the main storage for images on the A800 should be an additional xD card, which will allow you to accommodate almost as many images as you like.
Dual media slot convenience - A first for Fujifilm's digital compacts, the FinePix A800 features an xD/SD compatible slot, allowing the use of either xD or SD cards.
This will give you the flexibility to buy the card you want, use cards from previous cameras, or choose the media that fits with your other desktop devices like laptops, PDAs or card readers.

Real Photo Technology (RPT) - Fujifilm's Real Photo Technology (RPT) is the combination of lens, CCD and processor that helps the camera produce images of exceptional quality. Fujifilm's sixth generation Super CCD HR has a unique shape, with a larger surface area than traditional sensors, enabling it to capture more light from the Fujinon lens.
The Real Photo Processor II enables impressive operation speed and features an enhanced dual-noise reduction system that maximises the effectiveness of the camera's ISO capability. Intelligent Flash - For better results with flash photography, Fujifilm's Intelligent Flash system analyses the scene and automatically controls flash power output. The result is balanced exposure where the scene is sufficiently illuminated, without washing out the foreground in the picture, or losing background detail.
Anti-blur - Users will immediately appreciate the benefits of Fujifilm's Super CCD sensor. The increased surface area means it is more sensitive to light, enabling faster shutter speeds to help reduce image blur and the need for flash when taking photos in lower light.
