Threadworms are small, white, thread-like worms between 2 and 13 mm long. They infect human guts. They are common in children, but anyone of any age can be affected.
Worm treatment centres around two active ingredients: Mebendazole is the active ingredients in the Ovex range and Pripsen Mebendazole. Mebendazole is the usual treatment for people aged over two
years. All household members, including adults and those without
symptoms, should take a dose at the same time. This works by preventing the worms from absorbing sugar, and is suitable for threadworm.
