Hirudoid Cream for soothing relief for bruising and treatment of superficail thrombophlebitis (inflammation of bruising and haematoma (deep bruising)
Heparinoid is a substance similar to heparin. It acts by dissolving blood clots and improving the blood supply to the skin. It can be used as a cream to reduce bruising to the skin.
Not to be used in
Broken skin or open wounds
Children under 5 years of age
Known sensitivity or allergy to any ingredient
Large areas of skin
Lining of the body's cavities (mucous membranes)
Sensitive skin
This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy.
If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Directions for use
Read the enclosed leaflet. Pierce tube seal with spiked top of cap.
Adults, the elderly and children over 5 years: unless otherwise directed, apply 2 - 6 inches (5-15cm) as a thin layer to the affected area up to four times a day.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
