Niquitin CQ Lozenge 4mg
NiQuitin CQ Lozenges can help you control your cravings and your weight whilst quitting. This is
because they help to curb your increased appetite during a quit attempt and so
help keep the weight off.
They stay in your mouth for about 30 minutes and you don't eat whilst using them,
which means you're not snacking.
Like NiQuitin CQ Mint Gum, NiQuitin CQ Lozenges let you control when you get your nicotine and are easy to keep with you. Lozenges
are a bit more discreet than gum, and come in two sugar-free flavours, original
and mint.
The strength of the lozenges you use will depend on when you normally have your
first cigarette of the day. If you used to light up within thirty minutes of waking,
you should use NiQuitin CQ 4mg Lozenges. If you used to start smoking more than 30 minutes after waking,
use NiQuitin CQ 4mg Lozenges.
NiQuitin CQ Lozenges are part of a programme designed to support your wish to stop smoking.
The programme contains 3 steps which you will need to follow:
- Step 1, 1 lozenge every 1 to 2 hours for 6 weeks
- Step 2, 1 lozenge every 2 to 4 hours for 3 weeks
- Step 3, 1 lozenge every 4 to 8 hours for 3 weeks
Taking the lozenges at regular intervals gives your body the nicotine you need
to help you stop smoking.
The lozenge is designed to be dissolved in the mouth, normally this takes about
30 minutes.
Suitable for adults over 18 years
Contains Nicotine
Always read the product information before using this medicine.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition,
are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist.

pregnant, or suffer from allergies. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children
Warning!
NiQuitin CQ lozenges should be sucked in the special way explained in the instructions in the package
leaflet. Don't chew the lozenges or swallow them whole, as this is more likely
to cause side effects such as throat and stomach irritation, indigestion or hiccups.
Acidic drinks such as coffee, sodas and fruit juices can reduce the amount of
nicotine that is absorbed from the mouth, if you drink them in the 15 minutes
prior to using a NiQuitin CQ lozenge.
Do not exceed the recommended dose of this medicine, which will be stated in
the product packaging or information leaflet supplied with the medicine.
Make sure you do not leave NiQuitin CQ lozenges where children can reach them. Doses of nicotine that are tolerated by adult
smokers during treatment can produce severe symptoms of poisoning in small children
and may prove fatal.
