Tears Naturale contains Dextran 70 and hypromellose, which combine to produce a slightly viscous solution that acts as an artificial tear. It is for use as eye drops and is supplied in polyethylene dropper bottles containing 15ml of solution.
If you have been prescribed or bought this Natural Tears then you will be suffering from dry eyes caused by a lack of tears in your eye(s). Replacement of the lack of natural tears in your eyes with artificial tears helps to soothe and lubricate your eyes and provide relief from irritation.
In some circumstances this medicine may not be suitable for you. If your doctor is unaware that you suffer from any of the following conditions please inform your doctor before starting to use this medicine.
- If you have ever had to stop taking a medicine because you were allergic to it
- If you are pregnant or intending to become pregnant
Tears Naturale has not been shown to have any effects on any other medicines that you may also be taking.
- You must not wear soft contact lenses whilst using this medicine.
- Tears Naturale contains benzalkonium chloride which has been known to discolour soft contact lenses.
- If your sight is affected in any way following the use of Tears Naturale you should not drive or operate machinery
DOSAGE: The normal dosage is one or two drops into the eyes as often as you require to relieve the irritation in your eyes.
SIDE EFFECTS: There are no known side effects with the use of Tears Naturale, however, if you experience any reaction in your eye or other part of your body after using Tears Naturale then tell your doctor or pharmacist and follow his advice.
- If the irritation in your eye(s) persists or if the condition does not improve, you should see your doctor.
